1st Annual Jadon's Hope Bug Run

Jadon’s Hope Foundation (the “Foundation”) was born out of the Founders’ – Kristin and Tony Burks – firsthand experience with their son Jadon.

Jadon was born perfectly healthy on June 25, 2009, but was diagnosed with the terminal disease Spinal Muscular Atrophy (SMA) Type 1 on August 25, 2009. His parents decided to do something to make a difference for Jadon and others with this disease.

On Saturday, April 6th, they organized the 1st Annual Jadon's Hope Foundation-Bug Run. CareStaf was honored to be a sponsor and to take part in the event. They were hoping for this first event to have 200 entrants. At the start of the race, they had over 500! With research and proper funding, their is evidence this disease can be cured within 5 years.
